It's the launch date of my paperback (for The Great Believers) and Jean Kwok's hardcover (for Searching for Sylvie Lee)! We'll be reading at talking together at the St. Louis County Library.

I'll be reading at Strand Books, and author and One-Story editor Patrick Ryan will be in conversation with me. Registration includes either a gift card or a signed paperback.

I'll be paneling with Rosellen Brown, author of The Lake on Fire, about writing Chicago history in fiction. Our host will be the brilliant Donna Seaman. We'll be in the Multipurpose Room of the Harold Washington Library.

I'll be reading with author Christine Maul Rice. This is part of a weeklong writers retreat, but the readings are open to the public, and include book sales and a signing! I'd love to see lots of people there. We'll be reading in the Writing House Great Room.

I'll be doing a Q&A with Tim Ehrenberg. The event is at the Methodist Church.
