Evergreen Park Library is hosting local authors as part of National Library Week on Saturday, April 16. Mystery authors Lori Rader-Day and Susanna Calkins will speak at 1 pm; I will speak at 2. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

I'll be in discussion with Brigid Pasulka, author of The Sun and Other Stars, at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. The library is billing this as a great night out for book clubs!

For Independent Bookstore day, I'll be tending bar at The Book Cellar, serving up bloody Marys and mimosas. The bar is open from 11 to 1, but I'll likely get there a little after 12.

I'll be participating in the 3rd annual Author After Hours event at Zion Benton Public Library. The first hour will be a dinner for the library's Short Story Contest Winners, and the second hour will be a panel discussion with me and other authors (TBA). Please contact the library for information!

I'll be teaching at this writers' conference in Seaside, Florida, along with Andre Dubus III, Elizabeth Stuckey-French, Seth Brady-Tucker, and Matt Bondurant. Fellowships and scholarships are available... See the website for more details.

I'll be celebrating the paperback release of Music for Wartime at Boulder Bookstore with a 7:30 pm reading.
