Panel at AWP 2016 in LA

April 2, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Here’s the official AWP skinny:

No Facts, Only Interpretations: An Examination of the Multiple Point of View Novel.  (,  ,  ,  ,  ) Five novelists who have experimented with point of view will discuss their POV choices and how those choices informed the tone and shape of their books. Does having multiple POVs—an accumulation of subjective perspectives—allow us to approach the “truth”? How do we decide that another POV is necessary to tell the story? What dangers arise when that POV is outside the writer’s gender, race, or sexuality? The panel examines the pitfalls and benefits that a writer who experiments with POV might encounter.

Scheduled Day: Saturday, 4/2/2016

Scheduled Time: 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM

Scheduled Room: Gold Salon 4, JW Marriott LA, 1st Floor

All events will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90015) and the JW Marriott Los Angeles (900 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015). The two venues are one block apart.
