SUMMARY:Meet The Author: Rebecca Makkai
DESCRIPTION:Highland Park Public Library \n\n\n\nLower-Level Meeting Room/Auditorium\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAward-winning author Rebecca Makkai discusses her new book which was named a “most anticipated book of 2023” by more than 30 outlets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAward-winning author Rebecca Makkai’s new book is a transfixing mystery. Set in the woods of New Hampshire\, the novel follows a film professor and podcaster forced to reckon with her past and reexamine the murder of her high school classmate.  A page-turner and a profound and deeply felt novel that interrogates our cultural obsession with true crime and violence against women. \nMakkai’s last novel\, The Great Believers\, was a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. \nBooks will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing. \nJoin us at the Library.
